Château Ksara, Reserve du Couvent 2020

Flag of Lebanon

Château Ksara, Lebanon's oldest winery, was founded in 1857 by Jesuit monks in the Bekaa Valley. Renowned for its ancient Roman-era wine caves, it produces a diverse range of wines blending French and indigenous techniques. Known for its reds, whites, and rosés, it's a cornerstone of Lebanese viticulture. Reserve du Couvent 2020 is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Syrah; with the grapes all undergoing oak ageing for 12 months prior to bottling. A nose of strawberry, blackcurrant, black pepper and spice moves to a medium-full palate with smooth tannins and nice fruity finish. A great wine for lovers of heartier reds; best paired with red meats or game.
